 Chinatown-International District Night Market  

On Aug 18,  at Hing Hay Park in the International District is Seattle’s  Second Night Market. It was cloudy, but  it was still nice and cool night at 7:00-7:30PM,  many old, young  and kids with parents/grand father/mother gathered at the Park, playing  Mah-Jong, playing Chinese chess, some kids  playing with fish. They  could come here with some of their smiles and relaxed. There were some booths , such Chinese Drill team, and seniors try to raise some money selling cookies and sweet bean curb, some some people still might taste coconut juice , and also can tried some of Asian food  such as pot stick, some dim sum

At about 8:30PM night  , it was showing  an Indian  movie , "Monsoon Wedding" started at 8:30PM -
Unfortunately, the weather was not that good, it started to rain lightly at 10:ooPM, soon  , it may be wet on the road side, but not that bad, anyway,  some  people started to go home, by 10:30PM  all of people went home, except  for those people  who were responsible to clean up process, try to get back normal traffic condition for tomorrow.

Aug 18 - Cross  Street  from the park, it is Gossip Espresso and  Tea  Cafe  - selling bubble tea at he corner Two kids come to the Night Market with his uncle to have some fun Cross  Street  from the park, Tai Tung Chinese Restaurant has been in Chinatown over 50 years

Commencing   6: PM to 11.00 PM Aug 4- &  18th 2007,   it will be first Nightlight in Seattle Chinatown/International District. It will be decorated with Lantern Light along Hing Hay Park, mixed with various   activities,   as well you may try  sample delicious Chinese and other Asian foods, and you may plays games. Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Night Market is brought to you by  : Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area, International District Housing Alliance, Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce , Wing Luke Museum,  Seattle international Examiner  , Dept of Neighborhoods and Dept of Park and Recreation, and other,    you can watch free oriental movie shows at the Hang Hay Park   << Fearless >>  on Aug 4, 2007, . Also Aug 18, you can watch the Indian movie, “Monsoon Wedding”

The Night Market offers something for everyone and there is no better way to spend a summer evening under the stars!.

 

In addition,  the Night Market joins a series of Summer Events in Hing Hay Park through August. Weekly Saturday outdoor movies in the park include: "Fearless" starring Jet Li (August 4);   "In the Mood for Love" (August 11); "Monsoon Wedding" –( Indian Movie -August 18); and    "Steamboy" - the Japanese movie- (August 25, 2007.   Admission is Free.

 

 It will become a luminous lights twinkling in the streets of the Hing Hay Park after dark. Where is the best place/ first of the it’s kind in Seattle Chinatown/International District to enjoy the multi-colorful night scene that encompasses the Chinatown and the International District.
