Monday  marks the 58th (Oct 1, 2007) founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Various activities are being held all over the country to celebrate the 58th founding anniversary of the People's Republic. (举行庆祝中华人民共和国成立58周年招待会-九月三十日晚，中华人民共和国成立五十八周年国庆招待会在北京人民大会堂隆重举行。)  

But overseas Chinese Communities  usually celebrate the holiday early  before October in order to accommodate the busy  schedule of Chinese Consulate come to their reception.  Overseas Chinese reflect on China's changes & Celebration of  National Day holidays from Oct. 1 to 7. 

In Shanghai, over 1,400 activities have been organized, culminating with a huge fireworks display along the Huangpu River.

In Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, a special flag-raising ceremony was held to celebrate the region's rapid economic development.

In Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), citizens celebrated the National Day on Tuesday along with officials from the central government and the garrison troops of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Accompanied by the national anthem, the national flag was raised to full mast in each PLA battalion as officers and soldiers stood by saluting in a show of respect for their five��star red flag. Later, the PLA men joined thousands of Hong Kong citizens in a grand variety show and a fireworks display at night to mark the nation's 53rd birthday.

Near Victoria Harbor, fireworks lit up the skies for almost half an hour. The display was divided into 10 spectacular scenes, illustrating Hong Kong's distinctiveness as well as the close relationship between the HKSAR and China.

National Day celebrations in Hong Kong wouldn't be complete without the HKSAR's favorite pastime �� horse racing. The traditional National Day Cup was held at Hong Kong's Sha Tin Racecourse. The sport has remained as popular as ever since Hong Kong's return to the Chinese mainland in 1997. Over the past five years, the National Day Cup has been held each year on October 1.

Reception at House of Hong - Seattle Chinatown-Chinese Communities celebrate  National Day Holiday :- Chinese Consulate came to　reception with his wife, after he made a  speech, he has to leave for Tacoma attending another  celebration, his wife  stayed  with local communities leader together attending some of  performance and activities-  see  the Photo the reception- below:-

The Chinese Consulate to the San Francisco 彭克玉领事 came to Seattle with his lovely wife 彭克玉领事与夫人杨京梅attended the reception  at the House of Hong, sponsor by Major Chinese Communities and Associations on September 26,2007 . He expressed his appreciation and thanks to overseas Chinese and Chinese Americans for their efforts in promoting the reunification of the Chinese nation. After he ,彭克玉领事 made a speech , he had to leave for another Big Reception held in Tacoma  to celebrate National Day & as well as and Seattle /Tacoma with China Relation with Governor of  State of  Washington, but  his wife 领事与夫人杨京梅 stays with Chinese Community  for the reception . 还有华音艺术 组等等主演,节目歌唱舞蹈等表演，观众都报以热 烈掌声.
